Optima Signature: the resort in the sky

Optima Signature sits in Streeterville, and its calling card is amenity space done at resort scale: 1.5 acres spread across four floors.

That includes indoor and outdoor heated pools with cabanas and bars, a cutting-edge fitness center with a WELLBEATS virtual workout studio, steam rooms and saunas, a basketball court, golf, and dog parks. The single feature residents rave about most, though, is the simplest: direct elevator access to a Whole Foods downstairs, which is a genuine luxury during a Chicago winter.

In reviews, the themes are consistent. Residents praise the beautiful finishes, the spectacular views, the spacious units, and a staff they describe as friendly, professional, and quick to fix anything. NEMA Chicago: the amenity heavyweight

NEMA anchors the South Loop, and it is the amenity champion of the three on sheer volume: about 70,000 square feet of it.

The pool experience alone is a 10,000-square-foot outdoor deck with sunning and spa pools and daybeds, plus an indoor 75-foot lap pool with steam rooms and saunas. One Bennett Park, also in Streeterville, is the most rarefied of the three. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, it is built for renters who want a five-star-hotel experience at home.

Residents get private access to a two-acre park, a 60-foot indoor pool, a sunny outdoor pool deck, a spa suite, a game room, a screening lounge, a yoga studio, a pet spa, and a 24/7 doorman. High ceilings and large windows frame sweeping views of the lake and the skyline.

What residents highlight most is the service. They describe the concierge and security teams as delivering hospitality on par with a luxury hotel, alongside a world-class fitness center and impeccably maintained common spaces.
