The Lawrence House
1020 W Lawrence Ave, Uptown, Chicago 60640
The Lawrence House is a restored 1928 building in Uptown that leans into its history, keeping the original skylight, terrazzo floors, and mosaic tiling around a fully restored pool inside its 6,000 square foot fitness center (yes, there's a boxing ring too). The rooftop lounge has real city views, and the open lobby doubles as a free coworking spot if you work from home. You've got Larry's right there for cocktails, First Sip Cafe an eight-minute walk for coffee, and the Patio steps from the door, with the lakefront a quick stroll away. The Lawrence Red Line stop is three minutes out, and Jewel-Osco handles the bigger grocery runs about sixteen minutes away.

Resident reviews
on Google MapsFine place to live I guess. I was warm and had water and electricity. Some of the characters around were a bit sketchy. The front desk staff has some attendance and monitoring issues. When I was packing up I found three cockroaches. As I …
People here are stray up rude and disrespectful the word “luxury” here is definitely making a stretch
If you want functioning and reliable heat and AC, this is not the place for you. Issues and outages occur on a near daily basis. Countless maintenance requests amount to nothing.
Excellent response time

Maintenance is quick and thorough! Thank you Jim for keeping my apartment running smoothly
Didn't end up leasing here but our tour (led by Lanee I believe) was great. She really sold us on the property but the availability just didn't work out for us.
Living here could be so much better if it weren’t for the more than lackluster cleaning routine/staff. …
An incredibly easy move-in, very beautiful and maintained building, and great amenities. I had never visited the neighborhood or had seen the building/toured in person. Lanee was so responsive to all of my move-in questions and made …
