The Teller House

1030 W Lawrence Ave, Uptown, Chicago 60640

The Teller House lives inside a restored 1920s bank building at Broadway and Lawrence, and that history shows in the rounded triangular footprint and the tall windows that pull in serious natural light and city views from the apartments on the top eight floors. Inside the apartments you get stainless appliances and granite counters, and the building rounds it out with a rooftop deck, a fitness center, and a three-level WeWork coworking space if you work from home. You are right in the thick of Uptown's nightlife with the Green Mill Cocktail Lounge and Uptown Lounge a short stroll away, plus Downstate Donuts for coffee and tiny Lawrence House Patio around the corner. The Lawrence Red Line stop is basically at your door (2 minutes), and the nearest big grocery run is a Jewel-Osco about 17 minutes on foot.

Disappointed by the lack of communication from the leasing agent, Stella. I’ve been trying to get in contact with her regarding a financial matter (refund) and I’ve heard nothing but crickets. My last conversation with her was about a month …

Nice building. Good location. Maintenance is horrible. The elevators constantly break and take months to repair. Out of 3 elevators only 1 works. Not a word from management and maintenance says you have 1 that works so we don’t care.
